Cataloguing standards

The following documents describe the fundamental rules and techniques to be applyed when cataloguing on Manus.

• Guida a una descrizione uniforme dei manoscritti e al loro censimento
  published by ICCU institute in 1990 describes the  Jemolo-Morelli census record card, the starting point for the production of the cataloguing card used in Manus Online (MOL). This book is a reference manual for the cataloguers.
   
• Linee Guida per la formulazione e il trattamento in Manus Online (MOL) delle voci di autorità di nomi di persone, di enti, di famiglie e di luoghi Roma, ICCU, aprile 2018
  User guide for the management and maintenance of the Authority File of Manus. It provides the rules  and the methodological hints to define and implement homogeneous registrations of authority information in MOL, that is the names of persons, bodies, families and places.
   

• Norme bibliografiche per la compilazione dell’area “Bibliografia”in Manus Online. 
  This is a short compendium of rules to be applied to the bibliographic data in the “Bibliography” section present in each description sheet as well as those relating to the sources used.
